Hi guys I am gonna tell you how you have to start your preparation to easily crack
INFOSYS. Really it is not at all a Big deal. Trust me guys. All you need to do is just concentrate on the GRAMMAR that too basic
stuff.
ok lets start with the pattern what information follows for freshers especially. It goes like this.
Note: The selection process consists of exactly 2 rounds (first written and second hr (no technical at all only they check your control and fluency over
English language)
FIRST ROUND:
The following two areas are checked in your first round:
1) arithmetic and reasoning skills : 30 questions -----40 mins(60% Cutoff).
2) verbal English grammar & comprehension) : 40 questions -----30 mins(50%
Cutoff).
Cutoffs may vary. be careful, They won't reveal that to any body, its may
guess and this is cutoff infy follows of the times
Total no. of questions = 70
Time = 75 mins
Let’s come to the first round. I would like to suggest you some books which would help you clear the written test.
For arithmetic and reasoning part :
1) R.S.AGGARWAL (quantitative aptitude)
2) R.S.AGGARWAL (verbal and non verbal reasoning) In this, for first part u need to study only non verbal reasoning but verbal reasoning will help u in the second part i.e., English.
3) Do prepare TIME material if available (seating arrangement ,syllogisms etc.)
Let us see which type of questions they will give in the first part of the first round:
1 – 5) General aptitude questions (or) direction test (or) blood relations
6 – 10) Data interpretation
11 – 15) Syllogism
16 – 20) Data sufficiency
21 – 25) Figure series
26 – 30) Puzzle type
The order may vary but they will concentrate only in these above mentioned areas. If u have time u study every concept else these things are more than enough according to my knowledge.
Let me explain in detail about the above questions:
1 – 5) General aptitude includes the questions from time and work, time and
distance, ratio and proportions ,ages, percentages, blood relations, logical
questions (presence of mind is very important here), directions, averages etc (You can study these from R.S.AGGARWAL
quantitative aptitude)
6 – 10) Data Interpretation .Here you are given a picture (say a bar graph or a pie diagram or something
else). All u need to do is to analyze the given diagram carefully and answer the
questions don’t waste time here as most of the guys do better if you do this at the
end.
11 – 15) Syllogism…you just go through TIME material. There you will find it very easy and u can do fast…kindly don’t follow R.S.AGGARWAL …Do all kinds of models.
16 – 20) I think u need no suggestions regarding Data Sufficiency
because it’s quite common but don’t neglect. If you concentrate you can answer the questions…presence of mind is very important.
21 – 25) Figure series you can go through R.S.AGGARWAL Non Verbal Reasoning. Do complete at least 2 to 3 models such as
-- Finding the fifth figure by analyzing the first four figures
-- Finding the middle one etc.
26 – 30) you will be given a puzzle. You have to deduce the answers by carefully analyzing the given data. Normally this one will be easy.
That’s all Your first part is over, In the worst case you need to get a score of 18 out of 30.
You got to know one thing clearing first part is very easy. All you need to do is to clear VERBAL….
Don’t worry, I’ll tell u how to prepare for that. ONE important thing is you
should keep your complete concentration on the paper and don’t divert
your mind this is very very important trust me I cleared because of this.
I just want tell you the areas which u has to study:
1) Comprehension.
2) Inferences from passages (study from R.S.AGGARWAL NON VERBAL).
3) Sentence correction (wren and martin).
4) Sentence Completion.
5) Prepositions and regular grammar.
I think if u are good at these areas and if u can manage ur focus only on the exam then u are capable to clear it.
You know if u clears the written 95% you are confirmed as an employee HR is only 5%.
SECOND ROUND: (HR INTERVIEW)
Tips To Clear HR:
1.You should be cool and patient.
2. Infy hr’s behave like your friends but mine was a “psycho” I have to say he didn’t even smiled (not even a normal smile) at me in that 15 to 20 mins.
3. just use normal n simple English don't think much on words you have to convey what exactly is in
your mind in simple words, that’s it
4. don’t blame them they will catch you but i blamed if you want to do that just b confident and let him feel like it is 100%
true. I mean blame them with your common sense. I am giving the questions which
I was asked. here you go.
your guess may go wrong here (about yourself). he didn’t ask me this common question.
1)Ttell me about your project (as i am in my final year we have mini project)? reply: blah blah blah told in the middle he asked me
2) explain it without using technical terms? reply: explained but i used some technical terms because my project is completely online so i was supposed to use.

MCA guy not B.Tech.
5) (he realized that he has made a mistake apologized) ok tell me how u have prepared for your second year exams?
reply: blah blah blah but friends dividing the subject into parts each one vl complete one
part by the end of the day we exchange the things like that blah
blah he was impressed.
6) Tell me your role in abhayasa 2010? reply: (he asked me because I have mentioned it in my resume) bluffed but in a smart way actually i didn’t participated in
that but I answered him very confidently got impression.
7) Any questions to me? reply: asked d difference between a B.Tech guys n
MCA guy while recruiting (he answered me saying literally no difference we just recruit d candidates who have d
stuff).
that’s it guys
