Introduction:

Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’. The story of its growth from a small institution in the pre-independence India to a central university located in New Delhi—offering integrated education from nursery to research in specialized areas—is a saga of dedication, conviction and vision of a people who worked against all odds and saw it growing step by step. They “built up the Jamia Millia stone by stone and sacrifice by sacrifice,” said Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India.

Eligibility:

Candidate must have completed 10+2 level from the recognized board with at least 60 % aggregate in Science discipline to be eligible for this course.

How to apply:

Candidates seeking  admission to any course are required to submit the prescribed Application Form which may be obtained from the University on payment of the prescribed fees, or it may be downloaded from this website and submitted alongwith the fees as mentioned in the Prospectus. Only original downloaded Forms should be submitted along with the prescribed fee. The candidates are required to go through an Entrance Test which is followed by an Interview and, in some specific courses, a Group Discussion is also held.
